  1. These measurements must be off. In the picture the topping mixture looks like it has some body to it, but my topping was soupy liquid. Overnight in the fridge, still soupy liquid.

What a waste of good Oreos. For anyone searching Oreo recipes, go with one of the other pudding recipes (which calls for double the cream cheese and double the cool whip)

  2. I used half of the amount of milk and it worked great!

  3. It turned out okay for me, not soupy. I would recommend less filling next time though. Mine came out a lot thicker than it looks in the picture. It still tasted good though.

  4. This recipe was great! The only change I made was I used half the milk like another reviewer suggested. The only change I would make in the future would be to drastically reduce the sugar used. I would use maybe 1/4 cup.

  5. 1 c of sugar is crazy with all the other sugar in the other ingredients- reduce to maybe 1/4c.

  6. I feel like adding 1/2 stick of butter would be disgusting and make the oreo’s soggy.. If it were me I would stick with the pudding and cream cheese mixture and just add oreos.

  7. I agree the milk measurement is off. I made this for Labor day and it was too soupy.

  8. I made it exactly like the recipe stated. It was soupy put in fridge overnight next day it was good. But next time I will try with 1/2 the milk

  9. If you look at the back of the jello box, it says 3c of milk is used to make jello. That’s the exact amount that goes into the pudding mix. You don’t add additional milk on top of that… It comes out the way jello usually does – a little thicker. the recipe works perfectly. It’s delish !

  10. After reading all the comments, I did tweak the recipe some-I used just under 2 cups milk & 1/3 C milk. I’ll let you know tomorrow how it turned out as I’ll be serving it tonight. It does looked good tho.

  11. I like sugar idiots make it two cups

  12. I used 1cup of milk and pumpkin spice oreos. Made a great dish for fall.

  13. I am making this for one of our thanksgiving get together this weekend. This sounds really good. Makes sense to not add 3 cups of milk. Only add what the vanilla pudding says on the box. But, we aren’t a huge fan of cool whip. What if I add condensed milk to the cool whip?

  14. I ended up using 2 boxes of vanilla pudding instead of just one and it wasn’t soupy.

  15. I used a big box of Oreo jello with the same directions and it came out fine

  16. Wish I had read these comment BEFORE making this…definitely too much milk. What a waste.

  17. This recipie is the same as what is called Dirt Cake. Should be 2 boxes of Jello Pudding. I also add the butter to the cream filling and not the Oreos. Very good dessert.

  18. We have made this for years. We call it oreo delight. I have never added sugar, though. It is sweet enough as it is. It is supposed to be a large box of pudding, also. Then it is better to let it chill for a few hours- it will thicken some then too.

  19. I didn’t use any of these ingredients. I used softened ice cream and did pretty much the same thing except without all the work. Froze them until they were hard and they were really good.

  20. I love these types of desserts. Except it’s more known as Dirt Cake where I’m from, and some times we top it with gummy warms. ?

  21. I followed the recipe exactly, but used one cup of milk rather than three and let it chill in the fridge for a day…turned out perfect!!

  22. Yep….I really wish I had read these comments BEFORE making this. How annoying and what a waste.

  23. To soupy I think it needs less milk and no sugar

  24. türkçesi neden yazmıyor ?

  25. Türkçesi neden yazmıyor (:

  26. I used 3 cups milk and 2 pks pudding. Do not go by the pudding directions! Add cream cheese auger and mix with beater on low. Came out perfect! Wish I didn’t get double stuffed oreos though..

  27. It was really good it didn’t turn out soupy at all. By far best Oreo recipe by far

  28. If you read the small package of pudding mix… 3 cups milk way to much… try using the amount of milk
on the box of instant pudding… this should make this recipe correct… Old cook.. lol has made combinations
    of this before…

  29. In making this, make sure you don’t add more than the 3 cups milk mentioned in the recipe. It tells you to add the pudding MIX, not a prepared pudding. You don’t prepare the pudding and then add it to ingredients. You add the pudding directly from the package. If you prepare the pudding first, that comes to a total of 5 cups of milk and comes out soupy.

  30. I made this today with my 3 yr old & it did come out runny but I added another half pudding mix (thankfully I had one) & it turned out pretty awesome! I agree about the sugar, half would be better.

  31. I made this as described and mine is not soupy at all. I used my stand mixer and let it mix on low speed for awhile. Then I mixed the cool whip in on low speed too. Turned out fluffy and yummy.

  32. I forgot to pick up milk at the grocery store so I substitued it with 3 cups of water. The pudding directions stated 2 cups. So before adding the whipped cream it was really soupy. I just added powdered sugar to thicken it up and it turned out great! Delicious and super easy to make.

  33. Just made this. I wish I would of read the comments before making it. Mine was very soupy. Waste of about $12. Might try freezing it if it is still soupy tomorrow.

  34. I don’t like or use cool whip. Could I make cream using Dream Whip and substitute that? I’ve made a chocolate dream pie using Dream Whip, and it holds up well.

  35. Buy a LARGE box of vanilla pudding and use 2 12 cups of milk instead of 3 cups and it won’t be running.

  36. What type of sugar do you use?

  37. You can just get the oreo flavor pudding mix and an oreo pie crust to make pretty muxh the same thing. The recipe is on the oreo pie crust. I make it every Thanksgiving.

  38. I’ve made this several times and everyone has devoured it, including me!! Not soupy at all. Forgot to use butter on the bottom once and didn’t even notice the difference. My favorite recipe on Pinterest!!

  39. I followed other people’s recommendations and only used half of the milk that the original recipe called for. I also cut the sugar in half. I found that 1/2 cup of sugar is plenty! Turned out great both times I made it.
