  1. How do I get the instructions for these cupcakes?

  2. I would recommend just following any other cupcake recipe and add the lavender buds in with the wet ingredients so they can steep in the liquids for a bit. That’s what I would do and when baking them bake for fifteen minutes then add on extra time if necessary. I’m a baker so that’s what I suggest. Hope that helps.

  3. I bake quiet a lot actually is a passion of mine and for this recipe just follow the procedures as how the ingredients are listed so beat sugar and butter till creamy then add eggs one at a time then vanilla and food coloring. Combine all dry ingredients and add those alternating dry with the milk and it should come out just fine. Same with frosting beat cream cheese with butter first and then add the vanilla and honey and then add the powder sugar. Hope this helps! Happy baking!!

  4. I was liking this until I read to put food coloring in it. I am still making it, but without the food coloring. Need to find some other way to make them purple!

    • Kim- I thought the same thing. I am just going to leave the food coloring out and make them that way. Or you could order natural food coloring if you really want to dye them. :)

    • try to crush a few blueberries or blackberries (5-10 fruits). that will give you the beautiful color without using food coloring ;)

  5. You can actually use beet juice to color them as well. Since it wouldn’t take very much it will not alter the flavor. It’s a natural way to dye them:)

  6. Where do I find dried lavender buds?

  7. Always look on eBay for food ingredients you cant find in your grocery store. Make sure you buy culinary lavender!

  8. You can find edible culinary grade lavender buds at Target in the market’s spice section. It’s totally worth it~! Lavender baked goods are amazing.

  9. Lavender can be found at any Penzeys Spice store.

  10. This is my new FAVORITE cupcake! I omitted the food coloring and thought it made a prettier cake. These are even good enough to eat without frosting. Thank you for sharing!
